THE CENTER FOR BIOINFORMATICS AND FUNCTIONAL GENOMICS

The Center for Bioinformatics and Functional Genomics (BFG) is part of Cedars-Sinai, located in Los Angeles, CA. The primary goal of The BFG is to establish a research nexus that integrates cutting edge developments in computational sciences, next generation genomics and epigenomics, and functional biology to improve our understanding of disease etiology applied to personalized health.

Pei-Chen was recently selected as a

Rising Star by the EECS

Each year about 60 women in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) will be selected to attend the EECS Rising Star Workshop. This workshop brings together top graduate and postdoc women, who are interested in pursuing academic careers in EECS. The EECS Rising Star program was launched at MIT in 2012. The workshop has since been hosted at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of California at Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon University, Stanford University and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
